My name is Leesa Lim and I am originally from Malaysia. I grew up in a little fishing village in Malaysia called Dungun. From a very young age I developed an interest in Dentistry and in 2006 I moved to Cork in the Republic of Ireland. I studied Dentistry there and qualified in 2011 from Cork University. I then moved to Newcastle and completed my training year in an amazing NHS mixed private practice where I gained a lot of experience and skills. It was during my training that I was lucky enough to meet my amazing husband Dan. We both stayed in the North East for a further 2 years before deciding to move to the South West. My husband and I got married in July last year in a lovely location just outside Bath. We were extremely lucky on our special day, with the sun shining all day and a scorching 35 degrees!

Outside of work, my husband and I are keen walkers. We are slowly ticking off the list of walks to do in the UK. My favourite ones so far are High Cup Nick near Appleby and Ben Nevis in Scotland. We also enjoy the odd game of squash when we are feeling competitive! When I was younger, I used to play a lot of basketball and badminton and competed in tournaments all around Malaysia. Now I mainly enjoy the gym and Zumba! Growing up in Malaysia, I was very lucky to have many pets including a python, a rescued river otter and for a short time a rescued slow loris. Ever since I was young, I have loved animals and I now have a beautiful Maine Coon kitten called Tiger who, though somewhat less unusual, is a big clown and is also living up to his name!

I thoroughly enjoy providing high-quality dentistry and making sure my patients feel comfortable and at ease. I enjoy having a chat with patients and getting to know them. Although I have learnt a lot so far, I am looking forward to gaining more experiences and skills. My main interest is in cosmetic dentistry and I have been lucky enough to train in teeth-straightening and Botox. I’m hoping to complete more courses soon, which will allow me to offer more specialised treatment such as non-surgical face lifting and implants.
